For more than twenty-five years, Brian D. Long has represented plaintiffs in complex class action litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. Mr. Long has spent twenty-two of those years practicing law in Delaware, where he specializes in corporate takeover litigation, securities litigation, and actions alleging breaches of fiduciary duties by corporate directors and officers.
Mr. Long is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and the Duquesne University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Long was associated with the firm of Roda & Nast, P.C., where he litigated mass tort, consumer fraud, and antitrust class action litigation. Following three years at Roda & Nast, Mr. Long was associated with the Wilmington, Delaware offices of Chimicles & Tikellis, LLP and Milberg LLP. In 2006, Mr. Long co-founded Rigrodsky & Long, P.A., also in Wilmington. After nearly fifteen years as a founding shareholder of Rigrodsky & Long, P.A., Mr. Long founded Long Law, LLC in January of 2021.
Mr. Long has successfully served as lead or co-lead counsel in numerous stockholder class and derivative actions challenging harm to public corporations and their stockholders. He has argued before the Supreme Court of Delaware and the Delaware Court of Chancery, as well as state and federal courts throughout the nation.
Mr. Long is admitted to practice in the State of Delaware and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts for the District of Delaware and the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Seventh Circuit.
